About this blog

You've just come to this site, I presume you want to know what it's all about...

My name is Peter and I have decided to write this travel blog about my adventures around the globe. Not only far off places, but also trips around the UK. I wanted to write this travel blog because it is a way of “getting the pictures of my travels to come to life”
Not only having pictures to look at, the blog will open doors for people that may not get there themselves. I would hope it is also used as a review site, with others giving their opinions on places I cover.

Makhtesh Ramon Visitor's Center - "Very moving and informing"

The following review was written by me on the TripAdvisor review website (www.tripadviser.co.uk) back in August - see it here*. I hope you enjoy it..

"Very moving and informing"

"The visitor's centre and memorial to Ilan Ramon is a must see if you are around the Makhtesh.

"With a moving video of Ilan and his ambitions, but I won't spoil the surprise that awaits any viewer of this very well made film.
Then the museum leads onto how the Makhtesh was formed with clever 3D projections - this is no 3D cinema! Finally you can see the film explaining the local wildlife.

"This is also a good stop, even if you just need a nice air-conditioned place to cool down.

"If you are anywhere near the Makhtesh is it a definite stop. It's on the main road from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem to Elait so just pop along. Very reasonable pricing as well..."
